As I’m sure you all know, school is going to look very different for many of us this year, especially if you’re a mom with little ones who are excited about heading back to the classroom. I haven’t broken the news to Hazel & Capri just yet about our remote learning situation, but I plan to ease them into “back to school mode” with some shopping.If you’re wondering where we’re school shopping this year, there’s no doubt we’ll be kicking it off at Walmart. Face Masks
One of the biggest changes about the school year is wearing face coverings. While some districts are going fully remote, there are some that are going on a rotational in-class schedule. With that in mind, it’s smart to have a few reusable face masks on hand. Walmart has so many cute options for kids that come in sets or are sold individually. I recommend getting one with a filter pocket like this for added protection.

Backpacks
Backpacks go without saying – and is usually one of the first things my kids want to buy. There are some really adorable kid-friendly options for little boys and girls but also more contemporary designs for bigger kids. Even if your kids won’t be heading back to the classroom, it’s still a good idea to get them a backpack so they can keep their notebooks organized and tucked away at home when school is not in session.

Fashion Sets
We’ll be getting into a traditional routine of getting dressed and ready for school. With that in mind, I have to admit that matching sets are as much of a life saver for kids as they are for adults.
