I am already feeling the subtle rustling of fall approaching seeing vintage-inspired trends all around. It feels like apple cider, luscious scarves, red and yellow leaves, knee-high boots, and pumpkin patches. With so much to look forward to, it’s no wonder fall is one of my favorite seasons. ’70s Plaid
Plaid from the 1970s is bold, chunky, and funky. This is not your classic green and red plaid, although it could be. ‘70s plaid has a large pattern design rather than a small one and it’s famous for jewel tones or pastels. For those who want to dabble, go for a ´70s plaid blouse, but for those who want to go all the way vintage think blazers and pants.

A broad shoulder was the staple look of the ´80s. No woman’s wardrobe was complete if there weren’t shoulder pads somewhere in there. Bringing back the old school with shoulder pad means a woman can re-live the broad shoulder trend which stood for feminine power and equality with their male counterparts.

Goodbye laced up details and hello buttons galore. All the way buttoned-up, as a matter of fact. This trend beckons a goth vibe rather than a business silhouette. While patterns and prints might be cute for the summer, solids are better suited for the fall season.

Belts never go out of style, but there are minute alterations that can make or break a trend. This fall 2017, wide waist belts are all the rage for vintage-inspired trends. Think to pair with a jumpsuit or a loose fitting oversized button-up. Try a monochromatic look and a bright colored wide waist belt to give the trend some edge.
