1. Red for the Holidays
Red can be hard to wear for the holidays because you might just end up looking like one of Santa’s elves, but if you’re game to look festive in all red, follow my lead. It’s a great outfit for a Secret Santa gift exchange party. Note that a fitted all-red look is important to keeping things sleek and polished. I tucked these red leggings into black ankle boots and added an unexpected red top. This one was the right pick because of the trumpet sleeves and gemstones streaming down each side of my arms. It made it feel fun and spirited. Then, I broke up the head-to-toe red with this adorable black glittery clutch that I’ll be using for many more occasions this winter!
2. Naughty but Nice
Add an unexpected twist with embellished shoulders
The black and silver details of this look feel a bit edgy, but the fluted sleeves and jewels adorning the shoulder cutouts on this blouse keep it understated, sweet, and feminine. This look is perfect for those of you who just can’t seem to get away from neutrals. I would wear this outfit for a Happy Hour event after work or for a pot luck get-together. It’s not too casual with the festive accents on the blouse or too dressy since I am wearing leggings. The key to making a dark outfit like this festive for the holidays is adding metallic accents and jewels. I can’t get enough of the crystals on this blouse.
