Soia & Kyo Trench | Star Print Socks Similar | DSW Nude Heels (Similar) | Lucite Earrings Similar
During winter, I covered wearing socks and shoes which doesn’t necessarily play out the same in spring. So today, I wanted to cover the socks and sandals trend with a warmer weather focus. Admittedly, the socks and sandals trend is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea and it can be a bit tricky to pull off the right way. However, if done correctly and worn with confidence, you can produce a killer street style look! Spring is the optimal time to try out this trend for yourself because it is not sweltering hot yet – and the mornings are still chilly, so socks are totally practical. Take advantage of this time before it is too late!…

Don’t get it twisted though. There is more science to it than just grabbing any old pair of socks and wearing them with your favorite sandals. Here are some of my favorite ways to rock the socks and sandals trend this spring.
Sheer Socks
I absolutely love sheer socks. They are much more dainty and feminine than your average sock which is why they are absolutely perfect for this trend. Sheer socks can come in different shades and some even have endearing little patterns etched on to them. For something easy, you could go for a neutral color and for a more bold look, black is always a classic starter.
As far as the shoe itself, pair them with a sandal that fits the aesthetic of the sock. When I’m wearing a more feminine, girly style shoe like these nude sandals, I’ll grab sheer, tulle socks or something glittery. This combination would be the perfect accent to a midi skirt or patterned dress.

Sport Socks
For the deconstructed sock boot look that is trending in athleisure, go for a pair of ribbed sport socks. Trust me, these don’t have to Balenciaga either! Nike ones work just as well. For this look, pull them up to mid-calf and pair with some platforms or strappy caged heels to top it off. I absolutely adore the way this looks with some casual raw hem jeans or a contrasting midi skirt. Plus, it photographs so well!
