The fashion landscape constantly shifts but the past couple of years, sneakers continue to be an important piece in the puzzle. Although I haven’t really spent a lot of time going out, I have been wearing a lot more trainers with my everyday outfits. Personally, I prefer vibrant, retro-inspired shoe styles that can stand out and make a statement. While you can never go wrong with a pair of espadrilles or strappy sandals, they just don’t live up to the comfort of a good pair of sneakers. If you didn’t think you could absolutely pull off sneakers with every single outfit, then here are the sneaker styles you’re definitely missing out on.…

Chunky Trainers
Anyone who says chunky sneakers are out of style don’t really know what they’re talking about. I honestly believe they’ve evolved to be a staple in our wardrobe. While I love bold, color styles, there are also super sleek versions coming out daily. The distinctive thick sole add that special element which makes these shoes stand out from the rest. Whether it’s a dress, a monochromatic look, or a loungewear ensemble, chunky trainers add that extra oomph.

Clean White Sneakers
My favorite clean white sneaker styles comprise of a simple leather upper and a rubber sole. This classic tennis shoe silhouette will continue to be in style for years to come – just look at the Adidas Superstars or the Stan Smiths. If you go for a higher-end, real leather option they will feel stiffer and will take a bit more time to break into. But on the plus side, they’ll last forever. Once you get over that period, you’ll be able to wear them for hours without noticing any discomfort!
This holds especially true for Common Projects, Golden Goose, Gucci Ace sneaker series, and Axel Arigato. I love that these sneaker styles go with just about everything though from slip dresses to swim wear!

Classic Sneakers
Then, you have the classic sneaker styles that don’t only go well with every outfit, but will remain relevant in your wardrobe even years down the road. I consider Vans, Converses, and certain Nike and Adidas sneakers a part of this zone. Styling them is so incredibly easy and effortless. In fact, since they are so versatile, I can swap them out with almost any pair of sandals or heels and they still go well with my outfit.
