NYFW Day 2 / Look 1: Loéil Blue Teddy Coat (Sold out, but similar) | Burgundy Turtleneck Sweater Similar | Prada Mary Jane Pumps | Bertoni Yellow Circle Bag | Karen Walker Cat Eye Sunglasses Similar
After a full day’s worth of events trekking through the brutal temperatures, I’m so tired, but fashion week is one of those moments where you just have to be ready to go all the time. Day 2 consisted of more beautiful shows and presentations, which I’ll be taking you through below. (If you missed Day 1, be sure to check it out here.)
My first look consisted of this blue teddy coat with black pants and mary jane pumps. I wanted to play a bit on a 60s retro vibe so I amped up the volume with this poof in my hair. The bag and block heels complemented it so well.

BCBG Max Azria
First of yesterday was BCBG Max Azria’s comeback. I was so impressed with this collection especially the looks shown here. I loved how there was a mix of the usual feminine gowns meshed with really structured + baggy pieces. My favorites were definitely the unkempt looks.
Kate Spade
Then was the Kate Spade Presentation, which surprised me with its touch of
menswear-inspired elements like the loose tailoring, jumpsuits and boxy jackets. With Kate Spade, you can always expect saccharine touches no matter how obvious or subtle. This collection wavered on the subtle side with rumpled edges peeping out and floral accents. I also can’t forget to mention the shoes! The kitten heels, chelsea boots, and slouchy knee-high boots are all shoes I’d wear.

Hellessy
Hellessy has got to be one of my favorite shows so far this week! (I can’t decide between that or Brock Collection – wait for it below.) The floor sweeping dresses mixed with the knit sweaters and long leather gloves are all things I’ll be making note of when fall comes back around. It was opulent, bold, and billowy. I loved the clashing colors and textures – the two elements I always try to bring out.

Paul Andrew
I have always been a Paul Andrew shoe fan (I wore their red boots on Day 1), and I’m excited for the fall collection. There were lots of patent leather styles, kitten heels with laces, and embellished boots that I’d wear.

Milly
Milly was bright, vivid, and cool. I loved the monochromatic dressing and oversized coat pairings. I noticed lots of tailoring but also sequin ensembles and asymmetrical hems. Though some of the pieces may be impractical to wear in real life it was definitely stunning to look at.

NYFW Day 2 / Look 2: Shrimps Yellow Fur Coat | Cynthia Rowley White Blouse Similar | Tan Mini Skirt Similar | Ashlyn’d Sequin Clutch | 3.1 Phillip Lim Silver Pumps Similar | Vintage Chanel Clear Tote from What Goes Around Comes Around (Similar) | Illesteva Hexagonal Sunglasses Similar
I went in for a quick change into this matchy matchy yellow outfit. I really took these vintage vibes to the next level yesterday, and looking back now, I actually really enjoyed them! Never be afraid to play with bold, coordinating colors.

Brock Collection
As I mentioned earlier, Brock Collection was one of my favorites so far. It’s one all feminine dreams are made of from the velvet ribbons to the ruffle edges. Every single detail was just exquisite. Overall, I’m noticing lots of leather gloves, so the consensus seems to be that it’s a must-have later this year!

Cushnie et Ochs
Cushnie et Ochs was celebrating their 10 year anniversary and did so splendidly. The models started out lined up behind a sheer white screen and then walked out individually as the music sounded. It was artfully arranged and full of architectural lines and unique cuts – just very slick and alluring. I also enjoyed the live performance that put the finishing touches on the final walkout.

Tom Ford After Party
I was late to the Tom Ford show, but it was one not to be missed! I’m a huge fan of Tom Ford makeup and fragrances so I had to make it in time for their new eyeshadow and mascara launch. I love how Tom Ford always feels so exclusive and special – and my quick stop didn’t fall short of the usual feels.
Get ready for Day 3 tomorrow!
