When strolling around the cobblestone streets of Soho, NYC, I stumbled into Monica Vinader’s boutique store (151 Spring Street). The moment I laid eyes on her collection, I knew I had to invest in at least a few pieces. What’s more –when I discovered that Monica Vinader’s pieces are inspired by nature and travel, it all made sense to me. In many ways, her jewelry is a reflection of my own life.
It was as if Monica Vinader’s jewelry seduced me. And I let it. What’s not to love. Her collections are full of sleek lines and beaming with luxe vibes. Both subtle and sophisticated –this is jewelry I can wear every day. Not only are her pieces timeless, they are also super modern. It’s not easy to find that elegant balance when it comes to jewelry, but Monica Vinader seems to know how to add the right touches in just the right places. Her collections are vibrant yet visceral.
When I wore her rose gold “Mini-Siren” Bracelet and “Siren” Thin Cuff inspired by sea-worn treasures, I felt the beginnings of a love story. The gold and neutral hues are stunning. Then as I put on Teardrop Cocktail Earrings, I felt a surge of sexiness. That sensation was elevated when I slipped on her rose gold necklace with diamond hoop and pink stone detail. It conjured the feelings of antique shops and vintage posters.
Wearing jewelry like this means that my outfit must not outshine my accessories. I went for a nude colored tube top and wide legged black slacks. I kept my hair simple and makeup minimal. My goal was to let the jewelry steal the show. I quickly learned that there’s a great deal of seduction in the details. And as I sipped a glass of rosé and admired Monica Vinader’s artistic gifts, I realized that the room was aglow with the shimmering lights of her jewelry.
