I’m glad that denim is such an iconic trend this season because it’s one of my favorite pieces to wear. Although I already have a solid collection of denim, this season’s trends have enticed me to add more. My two favorites are pleated wide leg jeans and patchwork. Both remind me so much of the clothes I wore growing up. For this look, I played up the old school vibes with a Hello Kitty sweater. I don’t think anything gets more vintage than a graphic top + jeans.

Perfect Match
I recently shared this look in my fresh color combinations post, and it’s still one of my favorite outfits so far. I am a fan of wearing green and yellow colors, so when I saw them sitting side by side on this Gucci bag, I just knew I had to wear them together. If you find yourself reaching for safe neutrals in the fall, try buying colorful pieces you wouldn’t normally reach for. You can always break up the look up with neutrals via brown boots or black handbag. A neutral colored topper is also the perfect layering piece. After all, it doesn’t make sense to have so many different black or gray sweaters.

I’ve never really understood the deal with not wearing white after Labor Day, and I have always broken the rule proudly. When you find a sweater as cozy as this one, who can resist? Besides, I think it’s all about the context of what you’re wearing. When it comes to knitwear and denim, white is totally appropriate. Other materials such as eyelet and gauze may not make so much sense.

Outside The Box
I wore this look at the start of fall. This would be me pretending that it wasn’t still quite warm out. Anyway, one of the first things I begin to switch out at the onset of fall is my handbag. While I love shearling and bucket bags, I think I like them even more when combined! I know that picking the perfect handbag can quickly become overwhelming, so take my word for it and carry a fun faux-fur bag for an ultra-luxe and super stylish finishing touch.

I have a tendency to dress a little more urban and edgy in the fall (though there are times when I can be pretty froufrou). And there’s nothing quite as versatile, easy, and effortless as leather leggings. They’re a staple in the fall and winter. Whether you’re layering them underneath a skirt (or a dress) – or wearing them with an oversized hoodie, you can wear leggings in more ways than you think!

Fall Glamour
One thing I am pretty excited about this season is special occasion dressing in the cooler weather. While this process tends to be easier in the summer, you miss out on the fun of mixing and matching textures and fabrics.
I am looking forward to pairing cozy knits with satin dresses and skirts. Add a few touches of jewelry and you are all set for a night out on the town.

As the days get shorter and the temperatures get colder, color is the best way to energize your look. Contrary to popular belief, you can wear any color whenever you want regardless of season. Perhaps the easiest way is to start with a bold colored handbag or a bright sweater, then you can transition into bubble gum pink skirts.
