My home has been a huge priority for me this year especially for the holidays since it’s the first time I’ll be formally hosting for Christmas. That means I’ve been rushing to get all my decorations in order before the 25th. Having just put my tree up to finally figuring out how to set up a gallery wall among many other things, I’m just glad it’s finally complete in time for the holidays. I’ve been really into vintage shopping and finding unique pieces, and was so pleasantly surprised to find tons of stunning pieces on eBay! If you’re still trying to get your home in order for the holidays, here are a few of my tips on how to transform your living space in time – and score beautiful items.…

Step 1: Navigating eBay
Shopping on eBay might seem daunting to approach at first but it’s all about the navigation. I love starting from the Home & Garden section, which lets me filter further depending on what I’m searching for.
Most of the time I’m in the Home Decor department. I’ve also made it a habit to check the Daily Deals page because you just never know what you can score a great deal on.
I once saw a KitchenAid mixer for less than $200, which is great if you’re the family baker (or if you need a great gift). But if you know exactly what you’re looking for then the search feature is definitely your best friend.

Step 2: Picking out a theme
So now that you know how to navigate eBay a little more, it’s time to pick out a theme. Do you want your home decor to represent minimalism, glamour, rustic farmhouse, or vintage? Without narrowing down this “look” to a specific style, it’s going to be difficult to create a cohesive space.
I know my fashion sense can represent many things, but when it comes to my home, I love a mix of vintage glam and old world European decor. That usually calls for bohemian cut glass, vintage books and paintings, lots of gold and mirrored accents. In fact, the easiest way to transform your living space and instantly elevate it is to create a gallery wall full of antique pieces and paintings. I’ve always admired the work of Amedeo Modigliani, but could never afford the hundreds of millions of dollar price tag. So, I’m glad to have found an affordable reproduction to complete my wall. I also included a few other pieces I love below.

Step 3: Adding in festive pieces
Once you have a central theme picked out and your home is furnished the way you like it, you can begin to incorporate more festive pieces so that it fits seamlessly into your space. Keep in mind that festive home decor doesn’t always have to include Christmas trees, stockings, and heaping stacks of ornaments – although that’s perfectly fine too! It can be as simple as adding pops of metallics and lots of candles.
One of my favorite ways to make my home festive on a budget is creating a tablescape with silver candelabras, white candles, and eucalyptus plants. You can of course do the same thing on a mantel.

If you’re looking for one of a kind pieces that personalize a home this holiday season, antique pieces are the way to go – and eBay makes it so easy to elevate your space. I’ve grown to really appreciate one of a kind items. And since it isn’t always practical to run out to local vintage stores, I love being able to search for unique pieces on eBay from my phone or home.
