Time is of the essence during the holidays. And it’s often so time consuming to put the right outfit together and apply a full face of makeup; therefore, it’s incredibly important to become efficient. Fortunately, modern, glamorous makeup doesn’t take half a day to apply. If you’re often scrambling around flustered during stressful occasions, I’m going to be sharing a few of my favorite products and tips for getting ready in a pinch today. It’s all about glowing skin, a perfect lip, and sultry eyes. Read on for how to do your makeup in 5 minutes this season!…

1. Get your skin right
Pick your base products carefully depending on how much coverage you need. I find that prepping the skin can take a long time, so I try not to layer on too much here. On a good day, I can usually get away with some concealer and powder; however, if I need more coverage, then one thin layer of this foundation does the trick. The Beauty Blender also comes in extremely handy and blends everything out lightning fast.

2. Opt for naturally full brows
Following my face, I’ll move onto my eyebrows. If you have thicker, fuller brows, then a fiber brow gel like this one is probably all you need. However, if your brows waver on the sparse side, then create short strokes with a fine tip brow pencil. You can even stash one away in your purse in case you need to touch up on the way out or at the party.

3. Flushed Cheeks
Nothing brings my complexion to life like blush and/or bronzer. If time happens to be on my side, I like to sculpt my cheekbones and add color; however, if I’m truly pressed for time, I’ll pick a radiant bronzing color that does both (love this one)! Otherwise, Tarte and Nars makes some really gorgeous cheek palettes that contain everything you need in one. If I’m wanting a fresher, youthful look, then a cream blush is better for creating a natural finish.

4. Go for soft sultry eyes
Although I love a good smokey eye, it’s often unrealistic to achieve in a short amount of time. I find that it’s usually best to stick to two colors at most – an all over lid color and then one for adding depth into the crease. Tom Ford’s eyeshadow quads are excellent for creating this kind of look. Since eyeliner can quickly end up in a wreck, you can just finish off with a lengthening and thickening mascara.

5. A perfectly bold lip
A festive look is never complete without lipstick. If you’re looking for something to add color that stays put all night, then definitely stick with a liquid lipstick. This one by Bite Beauty has been a long time favorite of mine and it’s currently 50% off at Sephora! If you’re more of a traditional bullet lipstick girl, then grab one with a cashmere-soft finish like this one from Charlotte Tilbury.
