Marigold + Emerald
To kick it off, let’s celebrate the wondrous combination of marigold and emerald. These are true autumn shades that are so fitting for this time of year. I find that honey gold really compliments the jewel-toned green in an unexpected way. It’s bright, punchy, and brightens up the day. For an easy outfit to work into your fall wardrobe, try pairing a chunky marigold sweater with some tailored emerald pants.

Magenta or Fuchsia + Red
For a trending a color combination that is bold and fresh, go with magenta (or fuchsia) and red. These hues are equally loud and bright, so how can they possibly work so well together? Well, it is all about balance, proportions and wearing it with purpose. This color pairing is quite trendy and there are actually a ton of pre-mixed blouses, skirts and dresses on the market that make trying out this look so effortless.

Pale Blue + Burgundy
One of the colors I am beginning to embrace more is pale, icy blue with shades of red. Think pale blue with oxblood (as seen above), burnt rust, or deep red. They surprisingly go so well together. The trick here is to pay attention to shades and tones. For instance, blue paired with red tends that have that patriotic element of July 4, which we often wear in the summer. However, a going a few shades lighter on the blue but deeper or warmer on the red compliment one another to create an ultra modern, chic look.

Orange + Tan
Another daring color story is the mixture of orange with anything, but my favorite goes to tan! I’m always looking to this audacious hue to make quite the statement. I usually pair it with subdued neutrals like tan to reduce the Halloween vibes. Though tricky to wear, orange is definitely unconventionally cool and is a great way to spice up your fall wardrobe.

Rust + Brown
Although shades of neutrals is certainly not anything groundbreaking for this time of year, pairing differing tones of brown is something new and fresh. Fall/Winter runways were all about mixing warm orangey rusts with deeper oaks and chocolates. This season, definitely make it a point to layer on those rustic colors for something updated and fresh. It’s a cozy color combo one can’t help but to ogle over.
