Getting excited about fall is not hard at all. Pumpkin patches and apple cider are just a couple of the things that ooze the perfect autumnal vibe. Not only are some of my favorite activities fall related, but my fashion fall essentials are as well.
It’s finally safe for me to stash away those summer sandals and bring out fresh fall footwear along with my coziest cardigans. Over The Knee Boots
For starters, over the knee boots is one of my favorites styles to kick off the season. When the weather is not overly chilly but no longer humid and hot, over the knee boots are perfect with a mini skirt and cozy knit. Once temperatures drop, this boot style looks amazing with jeans (or leggings) and a sweater. Express offers over the knee boots in various heel heights, but my favorite is this low, block heel that makes a perfect companion at the pumpkin patch.

Chunky Knits
Chunky knits and cardigans are some of my favorite fall essentials! Sometimes, the thicker the knitting, the better – like this funnel neck cardigan I’m wearing. I love the cable detailing that makes it look so cozy and appropriate for the cooler temperatures. However, I’ll be snagging a few off-the-shoulder, turtleneck, and cowl neck pieces as well. Don’t forget to check out the trendier styles with shoulder cut outs and ballooned sleeves – as well as the sweater dresses that double up as a top!

Plaid
Plaid is one of my favorite fall essentials at the moment so I was happy to see that the selection at Express is abundant! I’m wearing a plaid a-line mini skirt that I can’t seem to get enough of.
