In partnership with Herbal Essences, I want to share a little about changes today. With the change of seasons, comes changes in our everyday routine. Big or small, changes are constantly happening, and whether or not changes are good or bad, they have a way of affecting us. For me, one of my significant embrace change moments this year has been my hair.As a fashion lover, I always believed that hair was an important part of my outfit and a huge reflection of my personality. I’ve always been experimental with different hairstyles because certain looks just demand that extra effort. But, when it comes to my hair color, I’ve pretty much had the same shade for the past couple of years.

You might have noticed by now that my bright highlights are gone. And I’ve actually been embracing darker color locks recently. With the years just flying by so quickly, I was taken back by how my oldest daughter Hazel’s first day of Kindergarten is already here. Both excited and nervous for this new chapter of motherhood and my daughter’s new journey, I felt that a change in my usual hair was necessary to take on this next step. I wanted something bolder, yet fresh. So that it grounds my mentality in embracing this new phase in my life.
For me, I’ve always thought of fashion as a great method for expressing one’s self and celebrate one’s personal identity and beliefs. Not only is fashion applicable to just clothing, but it can also apply to our beauty routine and even the hairstyle we choose to wear. While changes are often either good or bad, it’s important to remember it’s how we embrace change and let life in, that tells the world we who are.
