Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve is situated on three miles of Caribbean coastline and offers spacious guestrooms and suites, all directly on the beach. Our suite had a private pool, a spectacular view and was private enough to celebrate family style. Realizing we were sleeping only a few steps away from the sea really took my breath away. It was an incredible feeling to watch my daughters’ faces light up each morning as the sun rose over the horizon.

Su Casa, the original plantation hacienda, was restored to its original 1920s grandeur to serve as a four-bedroom beachfront VIP villa. Extremely prestigious and exclusive, it’s the villa of all villas. And it definitely made my girls feel special to have been able to stay here. Hey, some smiles are just worth the splurge!
When I’m on vacation, you’ll surely be able to find me either swimming around in the pool or sitting in a cabana with rosé in my hand – but at this resort, you’ll also find me where the food is. Mi Casa is a traditional Spanish restaurant by José Andrés that offers indoor and outdoor seating, private dining spaces and a lively Rum Bar with impressive views of the Caribbean coastline. Honestly, that’s as close to paradise as it gets for me!

Another thing that I loved about this Ritz-Carlton resort is that it is designed for adults, families, and children and one of the main reason I chose to stay here. Puerto Rico itself is already a great travel destination. It oozes with natural wonders both on land and sea, including coral reefs, a diversity of birds, wetlands, and traditional Taino culture. Adventures and activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and exploring an archaeological site directly on property kept us entertained the entire time. With natural wonders and cultural heritage at our fingertips, we were in awe constantly during our whole entire stay. Our trip will stay with us for a lifetime.
