1. Puff Sleeve Top
Puff sleeves and peasant tops were on everyone’s summer wishlist and there’s no sign of them slowing down. You can easily take this piece into fall by pairing it with leather pants or layering a turtleneck top underneath. These blouses are extremely versatile as long as you stay away from summery prints (e.g. bright florals and tropical patterns). You can even pair them with dark denim and you’re all set for an easy, breezy fall transitional ensemble.

2. Blazer Dress
Blazer dresses have remained one of the most fashionable trends in the last couple of seasons. If you’ve got yourself a few, consider styling them in the fall with over the knee boots or sheer tights and combat boots. It doesn’t have to be worn as a dress either – wear it unbuttoned as a coat when the temperatures take a turn. If your problem relates to having too many oversized blazers, perhaps it’s time to turn them into dresses. Belt it at the waist so you don’t lose your shape.

3. Summer Sandals
There are so many cool ways to take your strappy sandals into fall this year. One of my personal favorites is pairing them with socks. I realize this isn’t a trend for the faint of heart, but it gets addicting if you’re willing to try. Another option is to tuck your pants into the straps of your sandals – I saw so much of this happening on the streets of fashion week, especially with lace up styles.

4. Graphic Tee
Graphic tees stay relevant year-round but pairing them with the same old jeans can sometimes feel too basic. With leather on the rise, this is the perfect time to add some edge to your favorite tee. Look for leather skirts, paper bag pants, and bermuda shorts to take that tee to a completely different level of cool.

5. Sunglasses
Eye protection is important no matter what season we’re in, which is why sunglasses never fail to be a great investment. For the season ahead, I’ve been really into matte black sunglasses. I love that they feel a bit futuristic and punk at the same time, giving any fall outfit that cool, mysterious vibe. Pair them with a blazer, trench coat, or moto jacket and you’ll definitely be on trend.

6. White Jeans
Whoever said you can’t wear white jeans after Labor Day lied. Crisp white denim works with a variety of fall staples, including chunky knits, a variety of footwear options, and bold-colored coats. You can even tuck them into tall boots or monochromatic outfits.
