Nothing kicks off summer like the start of July, so in celebration of the long days ahead, I thought I’d put together a guide to entertaining for my fellow fashion gals out there. If the idea of hosting sends you into a frenzy then I’m here to assure you that the entire process can be fun and stress-free, especially when the days are warm and you can chill with friends and family outside. Scroll ahead for my guide to summer entertaining.…
Drinks to admire & sip on
I’m a big believer that entertaining is more about the vibe than the food – and nothing sets the tone like a delicious bottle of wine. I was first introduced to JNSQ at Drybar earlier this year while getting a blow out and have since gotten addicted. It’s become the official wine of the Dry Bar, which means you you can sip on my favorite JNSQ Rosé Cru while getting your hair done!
Each bottle of JNSQ is a collectible work of art, but my favorite is the Rosé Cru. It comes adorned with a signature sculpted rose, which serves as a resealable glass stopper. I love how the glass vessel resembles an expensive perfume bottle and elevates the most casual tablescape.
If I could describe the taste in just a few words, it’d be sensual, summery, and bright. It’s not too sweet and boasts hints of tropical fruit and white peach. The dynamic flavors are sure to keep everyone happy throughout the summer.

Pick the right food pairings
The clean finish of JNSQ Rosé Cru pairs well with a range of foods you’d serve at a backyard BBQ or by the pool. If you’re not exactly an A-list chef, no need to fret. You can opt for dishes that can easily be assembled and don’t require a ton of precision and attention. Think fresh bruschetta, prosciutto appetizers, tacos, or arugula salads. As for desserts, I prefer to stick to fresh, colorful options in the summer like fruit tart, strawberry cheesecake, or sorbet.
If all else fails, try a potluck
A potluck is probably my favorite type of get-together. If you’re hosting, it’s your responsibility to whip up one or two main dishes (i.e. protein) and to provide the wine. You can ask your friends or family members to bring a few side dishes and dessert. I recommend picking a theme so that everything meshes well together. Since JNSQ Rosé Cru is a focal point for me, I’d probably go with a Provence or farm-to-table theme.
