There are so many reasons why Hourglass is one of my favorite makeup brands, but the first thing that comes to mind is that it’s simple. I’m always able to find what I need to create versatile looks that range from everyday to full-blown sultry styles. Today, I’m going to show you guys how to recreate this makeup look!

Step 1: Create a flawless, budge-proof base
The first step to creating the perfect holiday makeup look is starting with a flawless, budge-proof base. To do this, start with the following products:
1. Veil Mineral Primer
2. Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick
3. Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Brush
4. Veil Translucent Setting Powder
5. Veil Powder Brush

– After moisturizing, I apply the Veil Mineral Primer through the t-zone of my face. Since I have combination skin, I love how this product repels excess moisture, which helps extend the wear of my makeup. It also makes my skin super smooth so that everything else just glides over.
– Next, I take the Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick and swipe it over the areas of my face that require the most coverage.
– I then finish off my face with a finely-milled, loose powder. The Veil Translucent Setting Powder great for setting your makeup, concealer, or just buffing all over the skin for a flawless, matte but not flat finish.
In the powder is light-reflecting particles that help blur the appearance of pores and lines. What I love most about it is that it doesn’t cause your face to look white and bright when photographed with flash at night. I use the Veil Powder Brush to apply it – and I love that it comes with two different brush heads. The larger one is great for setting your foundation, but I also use the smaller one to focus on my under eye area. The setting powder and brush are huge game changers in my routine. They lock in my base, helping to keep my makeup fresh despite a long night.

Step 2: Mix different finishes for a dimensional effect
– Once my face is complete, I brush the Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel through my eyebrows for definition and volume. It makes my brows look full and defined.
– Then to bring more depth and dimension back into my complexion, I apply the Ambient Lighting Bronzer along the contours of my face focusing on my cheeks. It creates a sunkissed glow that looks so natural but radiant.
– Moving onto eyes, I’m obsessed with warmer colors, so the Graphik Palette in Vista was perfect.
I love how it includes a combo of matte, satin, and metallic colors that can be mixed for a soft or bold smokey effect. To achieve this look, I used the champagne gold shade in the inner corners of my eyes, then I applied a bronze shimmery color all over my lid. To smoke it out, I mixed the bronze shade with a bit of black and blended it onto the outer corners of my eyes.
– I finished it off with a flick at the end of my eyes using the Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Waterproof eyeliner is crucial for party makeup!

Step 3: Finish with a nude lip color
– While you can rock a bold lip for a holiday look, I most times stick to nudes because it’s more forgiving. To go with my soft, smokey theme, I decided to wear the Confession Ultra Slim Lipstick in Neutral Nude. It’s a true nude color that doesn’t lean brown nor pink. The slim packaging is great for taking everywhere with you too in case you need to re-apply it!
