Day 1
Alexa Chung Cardigan | Ellery Pants | Salvatore Ferragamo Bag | Amina Muaddi Heels | Prada Sunglasses
Day 1 of NYFW technically kicked off the night before the official first day with the Tom Ford show. Last season was my first ever attendance and it was such an honor to be able to go again. I love how his collection elicits dark, moody glamour. The Tom Ford girl is always confident and bold, and I think he reflected it beautifully by juxtaposing bold leather pieces with ruched skirts and lace accents.

The next morning was the official first day and I decided to rock out a sorbet look. Knowing cardigans will be huge this fall, I pulled out my Alexa Chung cardigan (similar and affordable option here). It was a bold move because September in NYC is still hot and humid. It paid off because several publications and street style photographers picked it up. Anyway, highlight of the day was Ulla Johnson, which turned out to be a beautiful bohemian grace. I have always adored Ulla Johnson designs for the soft, feminine, and free-spirited energy. This one was no different!
Day 2
MSGM Dress | Saint Laurent Earrings | Fendi Bag Similar | Valentino Boots | Tom Ford Sunglasses
Day 2 was packed with shows, so I only had time to pull together one look. As homage to the late Kate Spade, I decided channel 60s feminine vibes with this tweed a-line dress (similar and affordable here) at the show. Paired with my newly favorite Valentino Boots, it was match made in heaven. As for the show, I loved the giddy, artful print and felt it was very Kate Spade like. The 70s vibes and bright colors brought such optimism and I honestly believe Nicola Glass did a tremendous job with her first collection

I also attended the Monse show – take note because this is an underrated label to know. I loved every bit of the streamlined, deconstructed designs. It was one of the only shows I caught that channeled nautical themes, which is ever-appropriate for spring!

Day 3
Magda Butrym Dress | Staud Bag | Sophia Webster Heels | Tortoise Sunglasses Similar | House of Layfayette Scrunchie
Day 3 was time to bring out the leopard dress, which I paired with hot pink accessories.
I love how designers always throw us off during fashion week… Jonatham Simkhai was actually a walking presentation, and it was so beautiful with the models decked out in ethereal, billowy pieces. The way they walked out of the lush, leafy set up was so dreamy!

I really have to applaud Escada for putting together a truly epic show. It was their first ever runway show that I know of, and the collection was beyond amazing with strong shoulder pads, classic silhouettes, and punchy colors. I absolutely loved the balance of classic and modern – and could see myself wearing endless variations of these looks.
Attico Dress | Marni Bag | Earrings Similar | Amina Muaddi Heels
Day 3 ended with LikeToKnow.it for the book launch party. I went all out in a sequin + holographic look because it was all about celebrating! I’m so proud to be featured in the book. Be sure to pick it up if you haven’t already!

Day 4
Dolce & Gabbana Blazer | Dolce & Gabbana Trousers | Jimmy Choo Booties | Little Liffner Bag | Belt Similar | Roberi & Fraud Sunnies
Day 4 brought us showers, but luckily I had Lexus to help me get around, so I was able to stay dry.
I went with a suit for Tibi to line right up with its uncomplicated but tailored aesthetic. Let’s just say it’s safe to assume now that Tibi never presents a bad collection. This show was different than others before because there were a handful of men on the runway. That aside, I loved the comfy, breezy pieces that contained a hint of menswear structuring.

Day 5
Dodo Bar Or Blouse | Fendi Skirt | Fendi Boots | Geometric Sunglasses Similar | Miu Miu Belt | Karen Walker Sunglasses | Bulgari Bag Similar
Day 5 was super exciting because I got to see several of my favorite designers’ collections such as Zimmerman! If there’s one brand that’s mastered sexy without the racy factor, it’s Zimmerman. I was in awe at the sight of the high slits, mini dresses with cut outs, and super low cut trousers. Every piece was as statement making as it was beautiful.

Isabel Marant Jumpsuit (Sold out, Similar here and here) | Miu Miu Belt Bag | Fendi Earrings | Andy Wolf Sunglasses | Amina Muaddi Heels
Later in the day, I swapped into something more edgy to make a presence at the Phillip Lim show. I’ve always admired Phillip Lim’s slightly minimal but always unique designs, and SS19 was no different. The earthy tones and slightly boho pieces were so incredible. He always knows how to throw a surprise into the mix, and that was with metallic and fur pops which you don’t often see for spring.

Day 6
Sally LaPointe Dress (Similar here and here) | Gu De Bag | Miu Miu Belt | Earrings Similar | Andy Wolf Sunglasses | Amina Muaddi Heels
I concluded NFYW with this Sally LaPointe look for the show. I have really grown to love Sandy LaPointe in the last few years, and was taken aback by the reflective materials she incorporated into her SS19 collection, including sequins, PVC, and metallics. It was brimming with a blend of sophistication and street wear – a style I can totally get on board with. This collection was no doubt the epitome of cool.
