I wanted to revisit this piece in today’s post and share the different leather jacket styles I think every woman should own in the fall. Even if you’re not able to have one in each mentioned category, just one style will do wonders for your wardrobe.

Read on to find out what those styles are!
1. Classic
The classic biker jacket was my first ever leather purchase (besides a handbag), and it remains one of my favorites till this day. While you can eventually transition into studded and embroidered styles, an all black classic jacket constructed of buttery leather will work seamlessly with a cocktail dress as it would a pencil skirt at work. I think of classic styles with a collar, visible lapels, and sometimes, a belt around the bottom. One of my favorite brands include All Saints because they are reasonably priced and very high in quality and construction.

2. Cropped
A more fashion-forward style is the cropped leather jacket. There are so many new iterations that are worth checking out – like the one I’m wearing. Aviator silhouettes, bombers, and boxy cuts are so fresh paired with high-waisted pants or skirts. It’s a little vintage but still cool as ever. While you can always get away with wearing a cropped, form-fitting style, try an oversized fit for a touch of urban edge this fall.

3. Suede/Shearling
Shearling lined suede or leather jackets are not slowing down. I am obsessed with this style for the mixed textures and ability to create high contrast looks. Not to mention, it’s the best to bundle up in. I have worn this style repeatedly year over year because it never gets old.
We’re lucky today that high street brands have really stepped up their game, enabling all of us to find one that fits the budget – like this one. They’re available at every price point.

4. Quilted
The one leather jacket style that I miss seeing is the quilted piece. I’ve always felt like quilted accents give you that true bad ass, biker look. The padded look or quilted panels add a neat dimension that pops when styled jeans or joggers. It’s an edgier take on your classic biker jacket.

5. Collarless
If you’re looking for a more feminine style, the collarless leather jacket might be for you. The notable feature here is that there’s no collar. Instead, you’ll get an opening that drapes, a buckle or snap button at the collar, or a cross front design. This is one of the easier styles to wear for a casual or upscale feminine look.

6. Vegan
I realize that not everyone is a fan of leather, and that’s where vegan leather comes into play. There are some brands that I particularly love for faux leather and they are BlankNYC, Free People, and sometimes Topshop. With faux leather, you can stay on trend with a sleek, edgy look – and feel good that no animals were harmed in the process.
