Jeans are at an all time high, which is why I want to share 6 types of trending jeans that will be everywhere this spring and summer.
1 Dark Denim Jeans
If you find yourself exhausted of redundant washers like lighter or mid-washes, it’s time to move on. Why not dive into dark denim? Dark jeans always look more elevated and create the illusion of slimmer legs. Some of my favorite ways to wear it is with stripes or bright layering pieces. If you love denim as much as I do, wear it from head to toe. Dusters and peplum jackets constructed of denim coupled with darker washes are a must this spring. If you want to spice it up, you can always go retro with a bootcut pair and an embroidered denim jacket.

2 Mom Jeans
I have an infinite love for the 90s, which is why you can probably guess that I’m a huge fan of mom jeans. Though seemingly unflattering, with the right pairings, it’s easy to look on-point, fashionable, and effortlessly chic. These consist of a high-waist, some structure with a baggy fit around the crotch and legs, and hides your bum. Mom jeans are ideal for weekend wear with plain t-shirts or button ups tucked in. I love this style in a mid-wash and wearing them with dad sneakers. And roll up the hems to show off the bulkiness.

3 High-Waisted Jeans
High-waisted jeans are everything this year. With a petite frame, I’m a fan because a high-waist fit makes my legs look miles long. Aside from that, they can have various effects based on the leg style you wear. For example, high-waisted skinnies give off vibes of femininity and sexuality, showing all your curves without revealing too much while classic straight legged jeans are modern and androgynous but still fashion forward.
This is a style that looks amazing with tops and blouses of all kinds and layers well under any lightweight spring jacket. I love wearing high-waisted jeans when I want to tuck in my top. It’s super flattering on everyone.

4 Wide Leg Jeans
Fit and silhouette are what set 2018’s trending jeans apart from the rest. Think wide leg jeans with a high rise, raw hems, and oversized cuffs. Waist ties or belts on these types of jeans create a flattering effect, drawing eyes to your waistline; luckily, some of them already come with it. You can flaunt this style with plain t-shirts, billowy crop tops, or square-neck bodysuits. And pair it with kitten heel mules or espadrilles. For a contemporary look, layer trench coats or utility jackets over it.

5 Cropped Jeans
As temperatures start warming, the demand for travel rises. Cropped jeans make the perfect travel attire especially in the spring and summer. They’re comfortable but stylish when you don’t want to bare your legs with shorts or suffer in the heat with full pant legs.
Whether you’re into cropped flares, culottes, or rolled skinnies, wear them on days you want to show off a great pair of shoes. My favorite way to style them is with transparent or kitten heels, woven accessories, and tie-waist tops. It’s a great way to step out in an on-trend spring look.

6 Chalky Tone Jeans
If you thought colored-jeans were out, think again. This should come as no surprise since Spring 2018 is all about the colors of the rainbow. (Stay tuned for a Spring color guide coming soon!) Consider trading in your indigos for blush pink tones, off-whites, or sky blues. I love how fun and summery these look especially when paired with washed out stripes, linen, or floral prints.
