MFW Part 1 / Look 1: Emilio Pucci Dress Similar | Cutler & Gross Sunglasses | Giambattista Valli Boots (Sold out, but Similar) | Ermanno Scervino Bag Similar | Roksanda Pearl Earring
Fashion month is finally over, but I still have tons of photos and recaps to share with you guys. I’m finally kicking off my Milan Fashion Week series, but you can check out New York and London if you missed them. This was my first time attending Milan – and it was nothing short of amazing! I’ve always adored Italian designers for their outlandish, eccentric ways – something I can relate to when it comes to fashion. And that means it should come as no revelation that one of my first looks was this voluminous and vibrant Emilio Pucci dress, which I paired with white lace-up booties for the show.…

Now, let’s take a quick look at the Emilio Pucci show along with the rest of my MFW recap!
Emilio Pucci AW18 Show
I have always adored Emilio Pucci for his irreverent and heedless designs, so it felt very surreal to be able to attend the show in his dress. I loved the mashing up of bold and muted hues along with the exaggerated head-to-toe prints. And you can bet I also made note of the rust-toned tights! You don’t see colored tights worn very much these days but Emilio Pucci gives me a hunch it’ll be big this fall!
Simonetta Ravizza AW18 Show
I can’t stop thinking about the youthful energy and playful aesthetic of Simonetta Ravizza. From the fully-loaded animal prints to the sporty accents, the collection was so symbolic of the boundary-pushing girls in today’s generation. We’re irreverent – and that stood out in these fresh, eclectic looks. Loved how I could see myself wearing many variations of them.

from Milan with love
I featured this look in my 2018 trends recap, but I had to show it again because it was one of my favorites. Plus, every chance to shoot a cool outfit in front of the stunning Duomo is worth featuring! In case you can’t tell, there are two trends I’ve been obsessed with this past year: polka dots and white boots.

This was the perfect opportunity to marry them together and present them to you. The pleated details on this skirt really made a polka dot midi/maxi feel novel – and booties were necessary just because Milan was wet and cold!

Ermanno Scervino AW18 Show
Ermanno Scervino brought a sense of elegance and sophistication to the runway with menswear-inspired shapes and classic feminine pieces. The mohair coats,
Missoni AW18 Show
One of the things I’ve always admired about the fashion community is their willingness to create cohesive collections that communicate strong messages to the world. Missoni certainly made it a point in this collection by exploring and incorporating textures from all over the world. The vintage patchwork and use of targeted colors evidenced the label’s initiative to be all-inclusive.
a strong message to the world!

MFW Part 1 / Look 3: Maggie Marilyn Dress | Faux Fur Vest Similar | White Cap-Toe Boot Similar | Bottega Veneta Clutch | Illesteva Hexagonal Sunglasses Similar | Leather Beret Similar
My final look for the first part of this MFW recap was this lush and layered one. If you didn’t know, Milan is FREEZING – surely colder than it was in NYC and London during fashion week. This fur vest/cardigan concoction was more than fitting. And of course, I turned to white booties to bring in some contrast.

Roberto Cavalli AW18 Show
Marco De Vincenzo AW18 Show
The last show I’ll be covering today is none other than Marco De Vincenzo.
It was regal and decadent with a psychedelic kick! I never knew I needed such disco ball, woozy pieces until I saw those models strut down the runway. But don’t be fooled because there tons of practical pieces too like the pleated green dress to the left!
What are your thoughts on Milan guys? Love it as much as I did?
