The season’s coolest color pairing: Pink & Red!
& Other Stories Coat | & Other Stories Printed Dress | Karen Walker Sunglasses | Paul Andrew Red Boots | Ferragamo Shopper Bag Black
NYFW Day 5 was another quick and easy one, but contained several of my favorite shows (i.e. Derek Lam and Phillip Lim). In spirit of Valentine’s Day, I went with a fun color combination I saw all over the runways this season: Red + Pink! The red boots and shopper tote were perfect for making these heart and color-blocked prints street-style appropriate. I also loved how the sheer pink sunnies tied it all together.…

As for the shows, I couldn’t have been more impressed. This was my first season covering Phillip Lim, and can’t wait for you to see the looks below.
Derek Lam
First show of Day 5 was Derek Lam. It was full of amazing outerwear pieces – and there was definitely an Americana vibe about the collection. It looked tailored and cohesive without feeling too much like workwear or office attire. I appreciated the bohemian elements like billowy sleeves and hemlines he incorporated.
Phillip Lim
As I mentioned many times now, I covered many amazing shows for the first time this NYFW and can’t wait to see more as fashion month goes on. I’ve always loved Phillip Lim for his edgier, forward aesthetic, and this collection was no different. The complexity of the layers and proportions were all things I looked forward to. It was such a surreal experience to see his designs in real life.

Anna Sui
Watching Anna Sui literally from front row literally felt like watching a fairytale. I loved the doll-like makeup and how every model had a “performance”. The swaying, dancing, and prancing were all so fantasy-like. Plus, the models – Gigi, Bella, and Kaia… They were all so stunning to see up close! Anna Sui obviously has a knack for detail and her designs show it all. I’d best describe this collection as a bohemian rhapsody.
That wraps up New York Fashion Week Fall 2018. I’m headed for London as I’m writing this so be sure to watch for the amazing shows I have lined up there.
