With fashion month running right into Valentine’s Day, I didn’t have time to create fun Valentine’s Day outfits. However, I’ve never forgotten the rush of picking a memorable outfit to wear for a special date night. In honor of the month of love, I thought it’d be fun to go through my archives and pick out a few ways to style denim that I believe would constitute great casual date night outfits. Date night in the winter can be a real challenge because there is so much to factor in, like time of day, activity, weather, etc. We still have a few more weeks of Winter before it’s officially Spring, and I can’t wait for the season change. If you’re celebrating any special nights with your significant other soon, I have a few great ways for you to style jeans for a casual date night.
Look 1 – Casual With Texture
Coming off approachable and demure doesn’t get easier than wearing your favorite skinny jeans. But if you are worried that wearing jeans may make you look too casual, have no fear. You can spice up this girl-next-door look by adding texture to your outfit. My look here is a classic example. I wore a sweater with a cute fuzzy heart and this fun biker jacket with pink faux fur on the collar.
The great part about wearing jeans is you are not limiting yourself to any activities, and your legs get to stay warm when it’s cold! This kind of look is perfect for a night at the movies, coffee at your local Starbucks, or just a relaxing walk around the park.

Look 2 – Casual to Dressy with Feminine Pops
If you want to flex your fashion muscles a little and show a more feminine side, bring forth your favorite details. Some of my go-tos are floral prints, ruffles, and the color pink! All these nifty deets will make you look flirty and sweet – just perfect for a romantic day or evening out with your significant other.
Block heel booties are great to wear with jeans because they’re not as dressy as heels but also not super carefree like sneakers. Think of them as the perfect in-between shoe.

Look 3 – Dressy With An Edge
This last look and final way to style denim is all about looking dressy with an edge. I’m over the days of denim with a skimpy top. Now, I look for interesting features like exaggerated shoulders, asymmetrical necklines, and volume.
Bold, funky shoes like these bright blue ones are also great because it shows an adventurous and experimental side of you. A look like this is great for a dinner or group dinner dates because it’s fresh and far from boring.
