If you’re anything like me, then you likely struggle figuring out ways to make your wardrobe staples feel fresh. This makes it even more tempting to shop impulsively for a completely new wardrobe. But oftentimes, all it takes is a few styling tricks to maximize the items you already own. To help you guys make the most of your spring wardrobe without spending a ton of money, I’m sharing some of the fresh styling tricks I’ve been employing lately.…

1. Waist Belts
Waist belts are an inexpensive way to make a basic piece feel completely brand new. I love wearing chain belts over dresses, wide waist belts with blazers, and tie belts atop oversized button down shirts. Whenever an outfit feels bland, grab a belt and wrap it around the waist. And when you’ve mastered the art of wearing belts, you can begin to layer two together for a unique ensemble.

2. Get unbuttoned
Sometimes, styling tricks don’t have to come in the form of accessories. It just takes some simple tucking, buttoning, or unbuttoning to look chic and effortless. This spring, I’m all about that unbuttoned, undone look.
Whether it’s a blazer or flirty summer blouse that buttons all the way down, try securing the first few buttons and leaving the rest loose. I especially love this look with high-waisted pants.

You can pull this off with denim, trousers, or skirts. It looks ultra polished with pointed toe kitten heels.

6. Layer a wrap top
Wrap tops and dresses have been super trendy lately, which makes it the perfect time to layer them with other pieces in your wardrobe. I’ll usually go for a poplin top or a plain t-shirt. What makes this styling trick so flattering is the waist-cinching effect.

7. It’s all in the shoe
If there’s one reason that explicates my shoe obsession, it’s that shoes can really make a look. This season’s sculptural heels can elevate the simplest outfits – or make a statement look that much more street style worthy. Jacquemus makes some of the most beautiful options, but you can also find more affordable ones from Cult Gaia and Mango.
