Travel style isn’t as complicated as it sounds. I travel a lot, and I’ve learned so much about making every trip as easy and comfortable (and stylish!) as possible. With the right pieces and some handy accessories, you can travel easily and comfortably in and still look fashionable with nothing but a carry-on—even if you’re going away for over a week! Sounds impossible, right? I used to think so, too. But it’s not! These are my favorite things to bring along with me when I travel, to ensure I have a cozy trip and always stay true to my sense of style:Carry-on Suitcase

I know everyone tells everyone to bring a carry on these days. At this point, it’s just common knowledge. A carry on makes traveling so much easier and it can also be a fashion statement, like this marble one. Make sure to always pack a change of clothes in your carry-on, I’m sure you’ve heard the horror stories about airlines losing people’s luggage. Okay, you can’t avoid it, but you could always hedge the risks by bringing some essentials with you. Traveling is easier when you have your necessities with you, so always bring a carry-on, whether you’re away for two days or two weeks.

Oversized Hoodies

Airplanes get cold. Hotel rooms get cold. And, wherever you are no matter the season, it can get cold at night. That’s why I always pack a cozy oversized hoodie. I bring it with me on the plane, so it doesn’t take up space in my carry-on bag. I can wear it, or bundle it up and use as a pillow on the flight! A hoodie is a nice casual look for traveling that can get dirty and keeps you nice and comfortable throughout your trip. Try this ruffle one for some added flares.

Jogger Pants

Jogger pants are an absolute must. They’re basically chic sweatpants and are so on trend right now! They honestly feel like pajamas, which is great for flying: you’ll feel like you’re wearing loungewear, but you’ll always look more stylish than ever in them! They’re also great for trips where you have to do a lot of walking, or some kind of physical activity because they provide a lot of room for movement, and don’t get uncomfortable after long wear (I’m talking to you, skinny jeans!). They also work for many weather conditions—light for tropical temps, and you can layer them up if it’s cold!

Sneakers

No matter where you go on vacation, you’ll probably have to do a lot of walking, so sneakers are absolutely necessary—even if they’re not for working out. Sneakers are always the best option for comfort, and you don’t have to sacrifice style. There are so many different types of sneakers for everyone’s wardrobe these days. You probably already know this because I’m obsessed with it, but athleisure is so in right now, and the perfect style to emulate while you travel.

Scarf

Even in the middle of summer, I always bring a scarf. It doesn’t have t be a knitted scarf, a light one will do! But no matter where you go, you’ll likely to get chilly somewhere—from the plane to a restaurant to the beach at night. And a scarf severed multiple purposes. You can wear it around your neck, around your shoulders like a shawl, or use it as a blanket when the AC on the plane gets a little too cold for comfort.

Cardigan
I always bring a cardigan to keep warm even in the summer, because—like I said many times before in this post already— it is always cold on the plane.

Dark Shade Sunglasses

Dark shades sunglasses are probably my favorite travel accessory. It gets bright up in the air, as well as the beach and anywhere else I travel around the world. For traveling, I opt for dark shades so I can basically hide my face. I also don’t wear makeup when I fly, because it rubs off and makes my skin breakout. I know some women feel naked without it, so a light layer of powder or some blush to help you look awake is totally fine—I just say no eye make-up, because it will end up everywhere!
