The biggest thing to consider is how you like to work. If you need silence and minimal distraction to get into the zone. If you have clients and partners coming in and out of your office on a daily basis, find a spot in the home that is secluded and quiet – like a spare bedroom, basement, or even convert your garage into an office space.

Filter in natural light & give yourself a view
Going hand-in-hand with the aforementioned tip, natural light is a must have in every home office. The last thing you need is a dark, stress-inducing space that will deter you from maximizing your productivity. Daily sunlight intake is good for your overall health as it boosts your serotonin levels and therefore instills calm, positive vibes needed to get you through the work week.
I suggest facing your desk towards a window if the space allows it. Not only does this make for better lighting (ideal for endless Zoom meetings) but it also gives you something pleasant to look at when you glance up from your computer screen.
