Smorgasburg
This is a Scandinavian concept that’s really taking off stateside. Of course, the super trendy neighborhood of Brooklyn took the idea and ran with it. They came up with a food flea market with over 100 vendors which mimic the idea of the original Smorgaburg. From 11-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, it’s a perfect way to get out of Manhattan and into Brooklyn. Be sure to wear comfy clothes and shoes.

Sheep Meadow is a quiet paradise tucked inside of Central Park, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The lawn is impeccable and the ambiance is ideal. Don’t forget your summer hat and shades to really enjoy your picnic day. This is one of the things that I’m looking forward to doing myself in New York this summer!

Row Boats in Central Park
This has to be one of my favorites! Row boats in Central Park is a tradition that’s been around for almost a century. And with good reason –the activity is both invigorating and relaxing. Depending on the theme for the day, your outfit will change. If this is a romantic outing, then go for a pastel maxi dress. If it’s just for fun, then you have so many options, but I’d go for a romper. Be sure to lounge a little and let the waters ease you into a lazy afternoon.

Because you’re sitting al fresco, it’s the perfect time to show off your best summer wardrobe –mini-skirts, high-waisted shorts, or a yellow maxi dress paired with a bold striped blazer and wedges will get you the looks and service you deserve.
